Of Deliberate, Compassionate Conscience and The Following Silence

“Oh Demonic world, we doth behold,
How prices flew? How conscience sold?
How darkness loomed, how grave the shame
All lost in loss, absorbed deep in blame.”

Tainted Telecom minister A.Raja

As I watched a debate on a noted TV news channel last night, my stomach curled up in rage. My conscience mocked, I brooded as the gentlemen and women involved threw brickbats and bouquets at each other. Over what might you question? Passive through we are, we refuse to remain silent when the scoundrel of a thief, plays the kingmaker (read Raja).

Dr. Manmohan Singh has been playing his cards efficiently in the recent past, placing his accomplices under his protective care, ensuring robust protection to those who cement his existence the most.

Brand Congress has seen its image tarnished and tattered in the last couple of months. Be it the Adarsh Co-operative Housing Society Scam or the mismanagement at the Commonwealth Games at Delhi; the Congress will find it difficult to resurface to the near-pinnacle location that it had found itself at. With the 2-G scam making a backdoor entry, just at the completion of the games in Delhi, the party has been hit hook-line and sinker.

What would be interesting to the observer is how the chieftain of the herd would retort. Mr. Suresh Kalmadi was sacked under desperate circumstances. Amidst hectic midnight parleys, AK Antony and Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, the loyalist faces of the Congress chose Mr. Prithviraj Chavan as the successor to the beleaguered Mr. Ashok Chavan.
Common logic would suggest – Shouldn’t Raja too get the boot? Why not?

As the entire country looks up to this man, the Prime Minister of the world’s largest democracy for his judgment, we simply wonder- is it really arriving at all? This beacon of conscience and principles is caged within the darkness of silence. I allude a line that I recall from Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar to the predicament that all of us are in -“The abuse of greatness is when it disjoins remorse from power”.

Must not the ministry be purged of all its inherent evil elements? Has the stability of the ministry become a greater liability to the esteemed Prime Minister of the nation, than the existence of righteousness? He might have made good beginnings by sacking two very prominent officials of the country, but it just wasn’t enough. He must complete what he had set out to resolve.

The Prime Minister is acting right now towards the upcoming Tamil Nadu, as well as the General Elections much ahead. It is a well-thought out act to garner some precious Tamil seats. However, had the country elected the NDA to destroy the present for the benefit of the future? No, we hadn’t. Dr. Singh must come out with a verdict soon.

Let’s discuss the figures to familiarize you with the loss. The country lost crores in revenue, over seven times the amount upon which various agreements were made during President Obama’s visit. The amount was enough to feed the entire country hundreds of times over. Such was the revenue that the 2G auction could have generated. But alas, the king (‘Raja’) had other plans.

The New World Order: Delivered At Your Doorstep

“Until now, the world we’ve known has been a world divided – a world of barbed wire and concrete block, conflict and cold war. Now, we can see a new world coming into view. A world in which there is the very real prospect of a New World Order.” – George Bush Sr. March 6, 1991

Very comforting words indeed to the untrained mind. The idea of a new world without any boundaries is very appealing indeed. Globalization was the term coined to represent this merging of international states, bound by common causes such as Trade, Human Resource, Natural Resource and Defence. The United Nations, The European Union, World Trade Organization; all devices working towards precisely that end. The above extract from the infamous speech by the then president of the United States, George Bush Sr., delivered to the Congress has been quoted often by the believers of the New World Order. What is the New World Order, though? One source defines it as “The emergence of a bureaucratic collectivist one-world government”. One government to rule all.  A scary prospect indeed.

The world in its current form consists of an array of different governances. Democracy, Monarchy, Communist state, Parliamentary etc. Each country diverse from another, no country directly dependent on another for its survival. Each country free to exploit its resources in its own way without the interference of another. A balanced system of self dependence where trade between countries is aimed for the benefit of both. Now imagine a situation where all the countries of the world have been united and brought under the rule of a single government. One government that owns all the resources of every country. Every country bound by the laws of this government and all the military forces owned and commanded by it. A united world indeed, but at the cost of independence and basic freedom. Who would head such a government? A powerful and secretive elite with a globalist agenda who have been, since centuries, preparing to rule the world through a totalitarian world government. In popular culture they have been called the Illuminati or the Freemasons. Call them what you like, their agenda remains the same.

How far have they succeeded? Well, farther than most of us would like to think. Think about all the times you have been led to believe that a “United World” would do us all good. A singular world where people from different nations come together and live in harmony. If you have, then thats one step further you have taken towards accepting the New World Order. What you have failed to realize that with such a global society comes the loss of individual identity. Culture, traditions, practices, beliefs all come under a very real threat of annihilation. The entire population branded with serial numbers and codes for identification. Seems very Hollywoodish, doesn’t it?

Who takes the movies seriously anyways? Do you get the point now?

So how is the change taking place? Well, it’s not something that going to happen all of a sudden. It’s a gradual process of deception and a series of carefully thought out tactics. The devices used for this purpose are varied and are often disguised as innocent and necessary. But rest assured each in it’s own capacity is a sick plot to rid us of our identities. A list of some of the more publicized deceptions follows. Detailed descriptions are beyond the scope of this article, so we have provided links for further research.

1. Global Warming:

The idea of man-made global warming came as a shock to the world when it was first proposed. The current climatic variations have all been attributed to activities carried out by man that release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Cyclones, hurricanes, floods, tsunamis, all natural events which have occurred since centuries are now being blamed upon climate change made by man. It’s printed in text books and taught to children as the only reason behind the rise in global temperatures. Developing countries were blamed for unsustainable development and caps on carbon emission by industries, carbon tax and carbon credits were proposed. This would severely hinder any industrial progress. Various treaties like the Kyoto Protocol and the UN Climate Summit were created and accepted by major economies. In November 2009, an internet leak of thousands of emails and other documents from the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit revealed misconduct within the climate science community and allegations that climate scientists had colluded to withhold scientific information, interfered with the peer-review process to prevent dissenting scientific papers from being published, deleted raw data, or manipulated data to make the case for global warming appear stronger than it is, were made. This came to be known as Climategate. Various documentaries connecting the false notion of man made global warming with global governance have since been made but never been shown by the mass media which continues to spread the idea. Misinformed NGO’s further complicate the process of educating the masses about this elaborate hoax.

2. False Flag Operations:

False flag operations are covert operations which are designed to deceive the public in such a way that the operations appear as though they are being carried out by other entities. The name is derived from the military concept of flying false colors; that is, flying the flag of a country other than one’s own. The 9-11 attacks on the United States is one prime example. Numerous documentaries and websites have investigated these attacks and have conclusively concurred that these were well planned attacks carried out not by Al-Qaeda or any other terrorist organisation, but the CIA. The War on Terror was then hatched and the blame was immediately put on Osama Bin Laden, through falsified video tapes in which he takes the blame for the attacks, and hence the war on Afghanistan followed. Then Saddam Hussein was targeted and the war on Iraq was carried out on the pretext of “conclusive evidence” that it possessed weapons of mass destruction, which till date haven’t been found. By attacking these helpless countries, the elite have managed to take control of their governments and so now the rulers of these states function like well rehearsed puppets of their masters up above. How much would you bet upon the fact that Iran is next in line?

3. The European Union:

The European Union (EU) is an economic and political union of 27 member states established by the Treaty of Maastricht in 1993. The EU has since adopted a singular currency and established a system of courts, councils and even a parliament. A constitution was also created for all EU members and by virtue of the Lisbon Treaty the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union was elevated to legally binding status. It sums itself up in its “Preface”, which states that it is intended (a) “to bring citizens closer to the European design” (b) “to organise politics” and (c) “to develop […] a model in the new world order“. If this “constitution” is accepted, this de facto tyranny, will be entrenched, and the development of democracy will be stunted, and possibly abandoned permanently, initially, under a pan-continental, and ultimately, under a global, de jure dictatorship. David Noakes, a staunch opposer of the EU, during his research into the fine print of the EU found that the Lisbon Treaty when signed by Britain on 1st January 2009 in fact abolished Britain. The Treaty “takes primacy” over the British Constitution which it thereby abolished, and with it the nations of Britain and England; it gives the EU the power to close the Westminster Parliament. Member countries like Spain, Hungary, Greece are now debt-ridden and under deep recession because of the consequences of the EU. Bailouts of these economies by the IMF will then put these economies further into the clutches of the elitist who will soon take control over them.

These are just the few major deceptions of our times that are being used against us to ultimately bind us into slavery. Fake Pandemics (Bird Flu, Swine Flu), Vaccinations, False idea of the existence of Aliens, UFO’s, Extensive spying by governments are other tools of the perpetrators of the New World Order.

Controlled media plays an undeniably significant role in keeping the general public in the dark. Every major television network is ultimately controlled by the elitists. The news that you watch is what they want you watch. The movies of our times have further helped the cause by portraying anyone who questions established “facts” as Conspiracy Theorists. A very misleading term which immediately brings to mind, a lunatic, mentally depraved individual who has no place in society and whose opinions are laughed at. At the same time it must also be asserted that you should not believe in every theory. Apart from well researched truths there is a lot of misinformation out there too. Many false messiahs who claim to know the “real truth”. Careful investigation into such matters in necessary and you will be able to draw your own conclusions.

Ultimately it’s our actions that will make the difference. It’s time we wake up and resist the evil plan of the elitist to take control of our lives. Spread the word and soon we’ll find ourselves in a revolution to set us free.

In the words of the anti-nwo band Muse:

“They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious”

Les Bleus blown away

Domenech clueless

“As you sow, so shall you reap” goes an old adage. I thought that most of these adages were limited to the confines of school textbooks or philosophy lectures. Maybe confined to stories read to small children during bed-time , warning them of imminent dangers of crossing the all important yet very thin Laxman Rekha that dwells right between good and all evil. The difference that separates sanity and insanity.

Having followed the ongoing FIFA World cup at South Africa and the qualifiers before that, I am of the firm opinion that the French team must have never heard of the adage at all! After all, a team that cheated their way to the finals, is definitely an undeserving lot. I sympathize with the Irish team, who were denied a rightful shot at a trip to South Africa.

The Media dubbed Henry’s goal as the second Hand of God. To tell you the truth, it was not football’s moment of glory but a definite moment of shame. And the good saint didn’t commit the crime not once, he went on to commit the sin a second time. Punching the ball from outside playing area, kicking it to a team-mate(another sinner whom I do not recall) who shoots it for apparent glory. The Irish captain did fervently appeal for hand-ball each time the foul was committed.  It seemed, however that the referee was hand-in-glove  with the Les Bleus that unfortunate day. He was deaf to the Irish jeering, he had a job to do , ensure French victory and their clear passage to the World Cup.

And so the World Cup began in full earnest. The French being placed right in the first group against the likes of Mexico, Uruguay and the host, South Africa. The campaign was a disaster right from the onset. A draw in their opening game against Uruguay, and a 2-0 loss against Mexico did their morale no good. The team-spirit in the French camp was at an all time low.  Coach Domenech was verbally abused by star striker Anelka who was immediately sent home. Then there was players’ rebellion- the team refusing to practice on field. Coach Domenech  had nothing but silent whispers to offer to the media. The colatility reached epic proportions, and thus the government was left no choice but to rush the French Sports Minister to South South Africa to establish some sort of calm in the camp.

Then arrived the final match day. Coach Domenech did the unthinkable by tinkering with the French squad – 5 changes were made , with Patrice Evra being stripped of captaincy. The whistle blew, but the French zing that we had seen in Germany four years ago was definitely missing; or rather disappeared into thin air.  The defence was shattered many a time by the South Africans, who thumped in two goals would ensure French defeat the world cup. The final nail in the coffin had been put in place.

Coach Domenech apparently likes to remain in the spotlight. He refused to offer the customary handshake to Alberto Perreira, the South African coach after the tie was over. This summed up the scratchy performance of a team which were finalists at the last edition of the world cup. Les Bleus were simply blown away to, god knows where.

It can be rightfully said that they had cheated their way in to the championships this time. An overrated team that was highly undeserving. Their desire to the stride across the rainbow and to find the pot of gold there was fulfilled. But whoever knew about the Irish leprechaun which would be guarding the pot of gold, the French greed being denied. The Irish spirits were at definite play this world cup, denying the French of every goal and more. Vexes were cast to ensure that the French camp were in shattered. With the whole of Ireland against them, it could be fair to say that the French team were bound to be kicked out.

Speedy Justice Given the Boot

‘…Oh Justice, thou art fled to brutish beasts, and men have lost their reason…’

-William Shakespeare, from Julius Caesar

Was it justice or a matter of jest? The observant man is left pondering for answers- clues, if any that might make the recent judgements on the Bhopal Gas Tragedy comprehensible.

Approximately 20,000 lives were lost that fatal night, as an unprotected city veiled under the cover of night inhaled lethal doses of Methyl isocyanide.  The eight men “accused” of the crime were supposedly meted out a proper verdict by the honourable court – Two years in prison with a paltry sum of Rs. 25,000 to be paid as damages by each of the accused. With all the eight gentlemen coughing up the same amount, does the honouable court truly belive that the irreparable price of a human soul was approximated to Ten rupees a person?  Has the honourable court lost all moral character and decency to suggest that the next of the kin and the generations ahead could actually make a new headway with the paltry compensation of Rs. 25000 per person, which is still awaited?

Many an industrial safety law has been created, amended or removed altogether; but have the courts truly understood the gravity of this humanitarian loss? Has the Judiciary forgotten the twenty five years that have elapsed in the interim, when the court was too occupied resolving the Babr Masjid case, the Bofors Scam, the Godhra riots, the innumerable settlements within the BCCI or those between the Ambani brothers?  The Judiciary in India is an archetype and in no ways different to the Khap Panchayats prevalent in the northern hinterlands of the country.

Where was the Judiciary when Warren Anderson was at his prime? What sense does it remain in extraditing an aged criminal – absorbed in the ills of old age – when the crores from the exchequer in doing so could be paid to the victims as their rightful compensation? Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the hounourable Chief Minister of Bhopal had recently vowed to take up the fight in the Supreme Court. Where was this gentleman and his party- the BJP- all these 25 years? Could they not have substantiated the prosecution’s claims in court then?

The Indian Judiciary has yet again exemplified how the prima donnas can go scot free, leaving the common man scratching his head. I allude to  Juluis Caesar  yet again –‘Men at Some times are masters of their fates. The Fault dear Brutus is not in our Stars, but in ourselves that we are underlings. ‘

Was it the crime of the Indian Commoner to be left at the wrong side of Justice- as he was only a commoner? The United States of America could pool up its resources and demand British Petroleum to cough up damages for the massive oil-spill in its waters- the administration taking little less than half a year in doing so. Our Judiciary on the other hand spends its valuable time in deliberating whether Dinakaran should be judge in the Supreme Court – the matter being resolved in little over a year.

One of the most unpardonable crimes of the last century was apparently very conveniently ignored by the powers at be. Have they actually ever wondered as to who actually paid for the two-square meals each day or who took care of the enormous hospital bills these 25 years at Bhopal? All hail the Indian Judiciary – the finest example of a clever chameleon conveniently veiled by unknowing ignorance.

The Emancipation of The Common Man

He is an enigma unto himself. A tower of  light amidst the vast sea of delusion around him. He is no more significant than the average working class man. Yet, he is the embodiment of a generation.

He is not elected by his peers, nor does he crave for positions of authority. He doesn’t propagate messages of freedom or promises of improved life, but he chooses to live the life he wants to. He is content with his simple and ordinary existence. Often, his willpower and strength to resist are tested, but he remains steadfast in his cause. A cause which many people would debunk and term as unfeasible and ambitious. He isn’t swayed by predetermined notions or misleading doctrines of progress. He chooses to progress in his own humble way by improving his quality of life and helping his immediate surroundings in doing the same. The world of glamor that he has become a part of doesn’t appeal to him. His life isn’t dedicated to the pursuit of fame, recognition or wealth. He is a celebrity in his own world.

He has held on to the essential principles of human life, like Equality, Justice and Freedom; while the society around him continues to be fed by corrupt means of misinformation. He is of the religion of peace and humanity, one that the very channels of misinformation have portrayed to be barbaric and merciless. He is criticized and condemned for acts that are neither of his doing nor among the ideals that he lives by. Yet he is proud servant of his faith. The faith that gives meaning to his life and which still guides him not on the path of those who have gone astray. He remains humble and thankful for that and more.

He works for himself. Not to satisfy a third person’s whims and fancies because to him this would be a sin at par with slavery. He respects his work and always strives to derive happiness and personal enrichment from it. He despises competitions and contests for the pursuit of material richness. The only summit that he seeks to conquer is of total emotional satisfaction and harmony. He watches the whirlpool of deceit from a safe distance and wishes never to be sucked into its vicious circle. He is a vociferous campaigner of the ultimate goal of mankind. A goal which a large majority of people have chosen to ignore, and one which cannot be achieved by mass gatherings or public addresses, but only through constant self development and spiritual enhancement. Unlike the elite, whose hunger for power and influence is unfathomable, he has freed himself from the shackles of corporate greed. He does not survive by mocking public intelligence and steers clear from this treason upon mankind.

Yet he doesn’t claim to be a saint, because he knows that no man is without flaws. He takes pride in his ability to overcome these very flaws so that he may be at peace with his existence; because for him this represents the essence of life. He remains unperturbed despite the allegations and derision that come his way, because of his firm belief in his own principles. He makes no show of his achievements and does not parade them, and he is held in high regard in society due to this very fact. In this way he has elevated himself on levels that should ideally matter in life, unlike the empty and blurred standards that millions live by.

He is the wishful personification of the ideal human being in an imperfect society. He is the emancipated common man.

The Hypocrisy Of Democracy

In what is widely being regarded as a landmark decision in India, the Supreme Court declared live-in relationships and premarital sex between consenting adults as fully within the law and legal. This comes after the actress Khushboo’s controversial statement where she said that, “No educated man would expect his [bride] to be a virgin”. “Please tell us what is the offence and under which section should she be charged? Tell me how many people have been affected by Kushboo’s statement?” asked Chief Justice K. G. Balakrishnan. In a single unresearched statement the actress has questioned the morality of women of India, thats what’s wrong Mr. Chief Justice. And this coming from the very people who have the unwritten job of upholding India’s identity.

Former Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court and BJP MP Rama Jois today said Indian scriptures bar premarital sex and Indian society still consider pre-marital sexual relationship not good. Quoting from scriptures, he said one of the nine directives of dhrama prescribed by Mahabharata was “Prajanseveshu dareshu” one should procure children only under wedlock which by necessary implication bars pre-marital sexual activity between man and woman, he said. In a predominantly religious state like India, where does the Supreme Court’s decision stand? Isn’t it just loosely based upon miming the West? Let me not even go into the health issues such practices can create. In a country where HIV has affected more people than in any other country, this new decision doesn’t help the cause. An estimated 19 million people a year in the U.S. become infected with some form of STD. Are we ready to face this in India? Will we handle it better than the US?

In a country where we harp about our cultures and traditions, this decision is a rude awakening call. With India opening to the West both technologically and culturally, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if the Supreme Court decides that we (the youth) should be mentally open to such “radical” ideas. Bravo to the judiciary system of India for trampling over what few moral values we have left in this “progressing” country of ours. Forget the need to educate the masses, to alleviate the poverty-stricken, to stand for what India truly represents; our honorable Supreme Court doesn’t mind corrupting the young minds of the nation towards the ideologies of the so called “advanced” West. Let us remember that it is the same country which had introduced the ban on bar dancers in Mumbai not long ago. Call me orthodox or conservative, but to me the need to accept the Western ideas while retaining our Indian identity is of primary importance. Now cynics may say that when we have accepted Western music, food, fashion, why do we a draw a line when it comes to this issue? The simple reason is that while our varied culture has allowed integration of a lot of Western practices, there are still some that are simply incompatible with it. Why don’t we go ahead and allow strip clubs to run here in India? It’s a western idea isn’t it? How about gay bars? The recently legalized gay community in India may soon make a demand for them under the right to freedom of assembly. Will the Supreme Court deny them that on moral grounds then? Why then do we cringe about these ideas when we’re open to all other western practices? Aren’t we being hypocritical?

“Marriage is an outdated institution with no security. A true relationship is devoid of social and personal pressures. It has less emotional breakdowns, but it comes with responsibilities,” says filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, who was in a live-in relationship with actress Ameesha Patel. A quick look at the readily available statistics reveal that 46% of all marriages in the US, the biggest proponent of live-in relationships and premarital sex, end in divorces. Where then does it leave Mr. Bhatts statement?

“Who is anybody to judge if two people want to stay together?”  asks Pooja Bedi, but goes on to add, “A live-in requires serious commitment. And now with the Supreme Court backing it, it is no longer frivolous”. By saying this does she mean that unless someone declares a practice frivolous, we are to continue doing it without restrictions?

On a different note, lets take a look at democracy in Europe. We must have all read about the French president Sarkozy’s promise to ban the veil in France. “The full veil is contrary to the dignity of women,” he says.  He has blissfully ignored the sentiments of the women, both religious and moral. Ask a woman why she wears a veil and she’ll tell you that it is to protect her dignity. The law does more harm than good. It instills the feeling of victimization among the Muslim fraternity. Mr.Sarkozy’s statement is a paradox then, isn’t it? Are we to accept France as a democracy then? A democracy which doesn’t allow its people to wear what they want freely without questioning them? How would the Indian public feel if the government banned bikinis in India? Isn’t a bikini “contrary to the dignity of women”?

Switzerland has recently banned the construction of Minarets stating that “Swiss residents should be able to block unwanted and unusual projects such as the erection of Islamic minarets”. Another puzzling decision taken in a democracy. Why shouldn’t a people be allowed to construct symbols of their faith? Does the construction of minarets harm anybody? Why then discriminate and victimize your citizens who are after all only demanding freedom of expression of their faith?

This is the hypocrisy of Democracy.

It’s about time we stop blowing the trumpet of Freedom and Democracy, because not only do we seem to be ill equipped to uphold the true spirit of Democracy, we are also engaged, knowingly or unknowingly, in advocating and encouraging an intolerant society which has tuned its back on its cultural and moral roots.

Facebook – Are you there yet?

Facebook came to me as naturally as crying to a toddler. The subtle levels of sophistication coupled with the blue and white backgrounds was indeed very appealing initially- a distant drive away from the masses. A breath of fresh air for the soul. But was it really? The idea was indeed very shortlived.

There were days when my mother whould ask for an residential address and note it meticulously on a notebook- till the last digit digit of the pin-code was in its proper place. In contrast- the other day, I asked for a friend’s facebook account rather than his cell phone number. My friend was in for a rude shock when I asked him if his account was under his own name or under some alias. Had I really stooped to such “LOW” levels of “Societal Norms” to even question whether a facebook account was under an alias?

Facebook has acquired some accepted levels of of sophistication – a fair parallel to the the society than we reside in. A society – that is demarcated along the lines of wealth or education. I prefer to call it the virtual demarcation. Socializing sites be it – Orkut, Hi5 cater moslty to the people, the virtual masses; a user having on an average more profiles than himself. Facebook, too has seen an exodus in recent times. With more people around the world gaining access to the internet, the number of Facebook users has quadrupled in the last 2 years. But the natural drive towards the higher echelons, the very zenith – to be aligned with the “bourgeoisie” of virtual society has never faded. Be it in the real world or the virtual: this inner drive towards alignment has brought about stark changes. Be it the drive to learn the English Language and construct proper sentences or to upload pictures that are more appealing and aesthetic.

Facebook, in a recent report, has had the most number of hits in the US. The figure stood at a staggering 7% of the overall US internet traffic., crossing its nearest rival – Google for the very first time. The radical Zuckerberg may have introduced into society something more than an irritable passtime. For a country like India, the radical has promoted to the betterment of the english language. But for the society – has minted a parallel society. the existing one where the teeming masses try to compete with each other in the real world. Another – the created: where the masses are presented with a platform to realign society sans frontieres.
